In 1 Timothy 4, Paul is continuing to instruct Timothy on how to lead the church in Ephesus. He begins by warning Timothy of the false teachings that will come from within the church, and encourages him to remain steadfast in his faith. He then goes on to encourage Timothy to be an example of godliness to the church, and to teach the members to be devoted to prayer and to the reading of Scripture. Paul also encourages Timothy to be mindful of his own health, and to take care of his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit.
