Ahitub was a biblical figure who was the son of Phinehas, the grandson of Aaron, and the great-grandson of Moses. He was the brother of Ichabod and the father of Zadok. Ahitub is best known for his role as the first High Priest of Israel. He was appointed to this position by King Saul and served in this role until his death.
