Mark, 13

Commentary

Mark 13 is a chapter that speaks to the end times and the coming of the Son of Man. Jesus is speaking to his disciples about the signs that will precede his return. He warns them of false prophets, wars, and natural disasters that will occur before his return. He also tells them that they will be persecuted and even killed for their faith. Jesus encourages them to remain steadfast and to not be afraid. He promises that he will return and that those who endure to the end will be saved. This chapter is a reminder to us that Jesus will return and that we should be prepared for his coming. We should not be afraid of the trials and tribulations that will come our way, but rather we should remain faithful and trust in God's promises. We should also be on the lookout for false prophets and be wary of those who claim to speak for God. We should also be ready to stand firm in our faith and to be willing to suffer for the sake of the gospel. Finally, we should be looking forward to the day when Jesus returns and we will be with him forever.
