Joshua 1

Commentary

Joshua 1 is the first chapter of the book of Joshua in the Hebrew Bible. It begins with God speaking to Joshua, the successor of Moses, and commanding him to be strong and courageous as he leads the Israelites into the Promised Land. God promises to be with Joshua and to never leave him, and encourages him to meditate on the law day and night so that he may be successful in his mission.
