This chapter highlights the power struggle between the Assyrian empire and the Kingdom of Judah. Sennacherib's arrogance and disrespect towards God and His people ultimately prove to be his downfall. The faith and trust in God by Hezekiah and Isaiah served as an inspiration for the Israelites during a time of turmoil. It also reminds us that in times of difficulty, we too can turn to God for strength and guidance.
