Titus 2

Commentary

In Titus 2, Paul continues to instruct Titus on how to lead the church in Crete. He begins by instructing Titus to teach the older men to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled, and sound in faith, love, and endurance. He then instructs the older women to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine, but to teach what is good. He then instructs the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, and to be busy at home. He then instructs the younger men to be self-controlled. Finally, he instructs all believers to be sound in faith, love, and endurance. Paul's instructions in Titus 2 are a reminder to all believers of the importance of living a life of holiness and self-control.
