Revelation 19

Commentary

Revelation 19 is a chapter of great joy and celebration. It begins with a loud voice in heaven proclaiming, “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God” (v. 1). This is a call to praise God for His victory over evil and His ultimate triumph. The chapter then goes on to describe a great multitude in heaven praising God and singing, “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns” (v. 6). This is a powerful reminder of the power and majesty of God and His ultimate victory over evil. The chapter then shifts to a vision of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, on a white horse. He is accompanied by the armies of heaven, and He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood. This is a powerful image of the power of Jesus to defeat evil and bring justice to the world. The chapter ends with a description of the wedding feast of the Lamb. This is a beautiful image of the joy and celebration that will come when Jesus returns and establishes His kingdom. Revelation 19 is a powerful reminder of the power and majesty of God and His ultimate victory over evil.
