Psalm 143

Commentary

This psalm speaks to our human experience of difficulty and suffering, reminding us that we are not alone in our struggles. David's honest and vulnerable prayer shows us that it is appropriate to bring our feelings of fear, doubt, and despair to God. Yet, even in the midst of his troubles, David does not lose sight of God's character and faithfulness. This is a powerful reminder for us too, that no matter what we face, we can find hope and strength in the unchanging nature of God. As we read Psalm 143, may we be encouraged to bring our own burdens to God and to trust in his unfailing love.
