Leviticus 8

Leviticus 8 is a chapter that outlines the ordination of Aaron and his sons as priests. It begins with God instructing Moses to take Aaron and his sons and bring them to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. Moses is then instructed to wash them with water and clothe them with the priestly garments. After this, Aaron and his sons are anointed with oil and the sacrificial offerings are made. The chapter then goes on to describe the various offerings that were made. These include a bull, two rams, a basket of unleavened bread, and a bowl of oil. The bull was offered as a sin offering, the two rams were offered as burnt offerings, and the bread and oil were offered as a grain offering. After the offerings were made, Aaron and his sons were consecrated and set apart as priests. The chapter ends with a reminder that the ordination of Aaron and his sons was done according to the commandment of the Lord. This serves as a reminder that the Lord is the one who sets apart and consecrates those who serve Him.
