Leviticus 4 is a chapter that outlines the various offerings that were to be made to the Lord as a form of atonement for sins. The chapter begins by outlining the offering that was to be made for unintentional sins committed by the high priest, the congregation, a ruler, or any of the common people. The offering was to be a young bull without blemish, and the blood of the bull was to be sprinkled around the altar. The fat of the bull was to be burned on the altar, and the rest of the bull was to be taken outside the camp and burned. The chapter then goes on to outline the offering that was to be made for unintentional sins committed by a leader or a common person. In this case, the offering was to be a female goat or a female lamb without blemish.
