Commentary

Judges 10 is a chapter in the Old Testament of the Bible that tells the story of the Israelites’ apostasy and God’s response. The Israelites had turned away from God and were worshipping false gods. In response, God allowed the Ammonites and the Philistines to oppress them. The Israelites cried out to God for help, and God sent them a judge named Jephthah. Jephthah was a brave warrior who led the Israelites in battle against their oppressors. He was successful in defeating the Ammonites and the Philistines, and the Israelites were able to enjoy peace and prosperity for a time. The chapter ends with a reminder that God is faithful to his people, even when they turn away from him. Despite the Israelites’ apostasy, God still heard their cries for help and sent them a judge to deliver them from their enemies. This is a reminder to us that God is always faithful and will never abandon us, no matter how far we stray from him. We can always turn to him in our time of need, and he will be there to help us.
