Jeremiah 31
In Jeremiah 31, God speaks through the prophet Jeremiah to promise a new covenant with his people. This covenant will not be like the old covenant which the people broke, but it will be one that is written on their hearts, forgiveness will be offered, and peace will be established.

The Promise of the New Covenant
Commentary
As we read Jeremiah 31, we can see the heart of God for his people. Even though they had continually turned away from him, he desired to make a new covenant with them that would ensure their redemption and restoration. This new covenant is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, who came to offer forgiveness and write the law on our hearts. As we read this chapter, we are reminded of God's unchanging love and his faithfulness to his promises. We can take comfort in the fact that God desires to have a relationship with us and offers forgiveness to all who turn to him.
