Ezekiel 30

Commentary

In this chapter, we see the Lord's justice being executed upon a nation that has turned away from Him. Egypt, a nation that once ruled over Israel and considered itself a great power, will be brought down to its knees. Ezekiel's prophecy strikingly reflects the Lord's sovereignty over all nations, as He uses Babylon as His instrument to carry out judgment against Egypt. The chapter also serves as a warning to those who have forgotten God and rely on their own strength and resources. The Lord's judgment will come, and no nation is above it. Yet, the chapter reminds us that God is not simply a vengeful judge, but a gracious God who desires repentance and salvation for His people.
