Ezekiel 10

Commentary

Ezekiel's vision of God's glory departing from the temple is a devastating one. It is a reminder of how sinfulness and disobedience separate us from God's presence and blessings. The cherubim's role as protectors of the temple is also significant as it demonstrates how God often uses specific means to accomplish His purposes. However, even the cherubim cannot stop the judgment of God which is depicted through the burning coals. This chapter serves as a reminder of the importance of obedience to God and the consequences of disobedience.
