Exodus 26 is the second chapter in the book of Exodus that deals with the construction of the Tabernacle. In this chapter, God gives Moses detailed instructions on how to build the Tabernacle and its furnishings. The first part of the chapter focuses on the construction of the Tabernacle itself. God instructs Moses to make the Tabernacle out of ten curtains of fine linen, with each curtain being four cubits long and one cubit wide. He also instructs Moses to make fifty loops of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn along the edge of each curtain, and to make fifty clasps of gold to join the curtains together. The second part of the chapter focuses on the furnishings of the Tabernacle. God instructs Moses to make an ark of acacia wood, and to overlay it with gold.
