Deuteronomy 3 is a chapter that outlines the events that took place after the Israelites had defeated the two kings of the Amorites, Sihon and Og. The chapter begins with Moses recounting the events of the battle, and how the Lord had given the Israelites victory over their enemies. He then goes on to describe how the Lord had given the Israelites the land of the Amorites, and how they had taken possession of it. The chapter then goes on to describe how the Lord had commanded Moses to divide the land among the tribes of Israel. Moses then goes on to describe how he had divided the land among the tribes, and how the Lord had commanded him to give the land of the two kings of the Amorites to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh. The chapter then goes on to describe how the Lord had commanded Moses to go up to the top of Mount Nebo, and to view the land that the Lord had given to the Israelites. Moses then goes on to describe how he had seen the land, and how it was a land of great beauty. The chapter then ends with Moses recounting how the Lord had commanded him to die on Mount Nebo, and how he had blessed the Israelites before his death. This chapter is a reminder of the Lord's faithfulness to the Israelites, and how He had given them the land of the Amorites. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of obedience to the Lord's commands, and how Moses had faithfully followed the Lord's instructions.
