Commentary

In 2 Kings 7, we see the Lord's miraculous provision for the people of Samaria during a time of famine. The city was under siege by the Arameans, and the people were so desperate for food that they were resorting to cannibalism. In response, the Lord sends a prophet to tell the king of Israel that the Arameans would be leaving the city the next day, and that the streets would be filled with abundance. The prophecy is fulfilled, and the people of Samaria find an abundance of food in the streets. This chapter serves as a reminder of the Lord's faithfulness and provision. Even in the midst of great suffering and desperation, the Lord is still able to provide for His people. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of trusting in the Lord and His promises, even when it seems impossible. The people of Samaria were in a desperate situation, but they were still able to find hope and provision in the Lord.
