Commentary
In 2 Chronicles 15, we read of the reforms of King Asa of Judah. Asa was a righteous king who sought to restore the worship of the Lord in Judah. He removed the idols and altars of false gods from the land and commanded the people to seek the Lord. He also removed his grandmother from her position as queen mother because she had made an idol. Asa also made a covenant with the Lord, promising to seek Him with all his heart and soul. He also commanded the people to do the same. Asa's reforms were successful and the people of Judah were blessed with peace and prosperity. The chapter ends with a reminder that those who seek the Lord will be rewarded. This is a reminder to us today that if we seek the Lord with all our heart and soul, He will bless us with peace and prosperity.
