Zacharia

Zacharia was a biblical figure who is best known for being the father of John the Baptist. He was a priest of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem and a descendant of Aaron, the brother of Moses. He was married to Elizabeth, who was also a descendant of Aaron. Zacharia and Elizabeth were both elderly and childless when an angel appeared to Zacharia and told him that Elizabeth would bear a son.
