Zabdiel

Zabdiel was a biblical figure who is best known for his role in the Book of Judges. He was the son of Jashobeam, a leader of the tribe of Dan, and the brother of Abdon. Zabdiel was a judge of Israel for a period of time, and he was known for his wisdom and justice. He is most famous for his role in the story of Jephthah, a judge of Israel who made a vow to God that he would sacrifice the first thing that came out of his house if God granted him victory in battle. When Jephthah returned home, his daughter was the first to greet him, and he was forced to keep his vow. Zabdiel intervened and offered to take the daughter's place, but Jephthah refused. Zabdiel is remembered for his selfless act of offering to take the place of Jephthah's daughter, and for his wise and just rule as a judge of Israel. He is an example of faithfulness and courage in the face of difficult circumstances.
