Tamah

Tamah was a biblical figure mentioned in the Book of Genesis. She was the daughter of Ishmael, the son of Abraham and Hagar, and the sister of Nebaioth. Tamah was the firstborn of Ishmael's twelve sons. Tamah is best known for her role in the covenant between Abraham and Abimelech. Abraham had made a covenant with Abimelech, the king of Gerar, and Abimelech had asked Abraham to swear by God. Abraham asked Tamah to be his witness and she agreed. Tamah is also known for her role in the story of Abraham's death. After Abraham died, Ishmael and his sons, including Tamah, buried him in the Cave of Machpelah. Tamah is remembered for her loyalty and faithfulness to her father and her willingness to be a witness to the covenant between Abraham and Abimelech. She is an example of a faithful daughter who was willing to do whatever was asked of her.
