Jeremias

Jeremias was a prophet in the Hebrew Bible. He was the son of Hilkiah, a priest from the town of Anathoth in the land of Benjamin. He had a brother named Hanamel. Jeremias is best known for his prophecies of the destruction of Jerusalem and the exile of the Jews to Babylon. He was also known for his warnings of the coming of the Messiah and the establishment of a new covenant. Jeremias was called to be a prophet at a young age and was given the task of warning the people of Judah of the coming destruction of Jerusalem and the exile of the Jews to Babylon.
