Hirah

Hirah was a biblical figure who is best known for his role in the story of Judah and Tamar. He was a wealthy merchant from Adullam and a friend of Judah, the son of Jacob. He was sent by Judah to find a wife for his son, Er. When Er died, Judah asked Hirah to find a wife for his second son, Onan. Onan refused to fulfill his duty, so Judah asked Hirah to find a wife for his third son, Shelah. Hirah was the son of Beor and the brother of Beerah, the prince of the tribe of Reuben. He had no children of his own. He was a loyal friend to Judah and was willing to help him in any way he could. Hirah is best known for his role in the story of Judah and Tamar.
