Gethsemane

Gethsemane is a biblical figure best known for being the place where Jesus prayed and was arrested before his crucifixion. It is located at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Gethsemane is mentioned in all four Gospels of the New Testament. According to the Gospels, Jesus went to the garden with his disciples to pray the night before his arrest. He asked his disciples to stay and watch while he went further into the garden to pray. Jesus asked God to take away the cup of suffering he was about to endure, but ultimately accepted God's will. While Jesus was praying, Judas Iscariot arrived with a large crowd of people, including Roman soldiers, to arrest him. Gethsemane is not a person, but rather a place. It is not known who the parents or siblings of Gethsemane were. Gethsemane is best known for being the place where Jesus prayed and was arrested before his crucifixion. It is a reminder of Jesus' ultimate sacrifice and his willingness to accept God's will.
